Aptive HTG to Support Veterans Health Administration Task Force on Outdoor Recreation for Veterans

Aptive HTG received a contract to provide project management support services to the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Office of Patient Care Services interagency task force on outdoor recreation for Veterans.

Aptive HTG will manage initiatives and assist the task force in developing recommendations to better facilitate the use of public lands and other outdoor spaces for promoting wellness and delivering medical treatment and therapeutic interventions for Veterans. The task force was established as a result of Section 203 of the Veterans Comprehensive Prevention, Access to Care, and Treatment (“COMPACT”) Act of 2020, Public Law 116-214.

The Office of Patient Care Services provides care through policy and program development by utilizing innovative approaches and technologies through interdisciplinary collaboration. The Outdoor Recreation Task Force aligns with VHA’s Whole Health approach to care, providing services that support one’s health and well-being through a personalized health plan based on individual values, needs and goals.

“Our team is eager to assist VHA in incorporating outdoor therapies and treatments into its care for Veterans,” says Clive Ballard, Aptive’s Vice President of Enterprise Health Solutions. “Our in-depth experience and history with alternative and nontraditional types of health care allows us to provide top of the line support toward VHA’s new initiative.”

This task order falls within the Integrated Healthcare Transformation (IHT) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. Under this IDIQ, Aptive HTG and IHT partners support VHA across a variety of areas as needs arise, including health care modernization and transformation, financial management business transformation, analytics and mental health and suicide prevention.

Aptive HTG is a joint venture between Aptive Resources and ECS, formerly ERPi. Aptive HTG’s solutions integrate people, policies, processes and technology into an efficient, secure, scalable operation for better health care and outcomes.
